Georgetown Students

If you are a Georgetown student using the student insurance (United Healthcare), after your out-of-network $250 deductible is met, you will pay a co-pay of $36.25 per session.

Those who do not wish to use insurance

Individuals who do not wish to utilize their insurance can pay my fee directly via check, credit card, or cash. (Some individuals are concerned about insurance companies accessing the required information about their mental health treatment and diagnosis). See the fee schedule below.

Using your insurance plan

For other insurance plans, you pay the fee directly to me and I will provide a receipt and any other documentation needed for you to submit to your insurance company for fee reimbursement directly to you. In order to find out how much reimbursement you would receive, contact your insurance company and find the answers to the following questions:

  • Do I have insurance coverage for outpatient mental health?
  • Is pre-certification required by my primary care physician before services will be covered?
  • Do I have an out of network deductible that must be met
    before reimbursement begins?
  • How much do you pay for an out-of-network provider?
  • Is there a limitation on how much you will pay per session?
  • How many therapy sessions per year does my plan allow?
  • Are there requirements for the psychologist to periodically re-certify the need for continued therapy?
  • Are there particular forms that I or my psychologist must fill out to obtain reimbursement? (Please obtain these forms)

Payment & Fees

Cash, visa or mastercard, and checks are accepted for payment. Individual sessions last 50 minutes and cost $145. Couples sessions last 80 minutes and cost $195.

Cancellation Policy

You must notify me at least 24 hours in advance of a cancellation, otherwise you will be required to pay the full cost of the treatment hour booked. These charges are not reimburseable by insurance.
